Why .MOTO ?

Currently, there are two applicants for the .MOTO domain extension, Google and United TLD Holdings. The use of this registry will differ depending on which administers this TLD. If United TLD gains registry rights, the .MOTO extension will be used to provide a digital hub for the broadly defined “moto” market, including all motorcycling and motor vehicle activities. If Google becomes the registry, .MOTO will be used as a restricted brand TLD to promote Motorola and its online services through Google.
